Unlocking the Secrets to Weight Loss: Beyond the Scale to Exponential Health
In our pursuit to be at our best physical size and shape, it's crucial to understand the distinction between losing weight vs losing fat and inflammation.
These concepts are often used interchangeably although EACH represents completely different aspects of improving and gaining exponential health.
Weight Loss:
When we talk about weight loss, we refer to the reduction of overall body weight. This can result from a loss of water, muscle, or fat.
Fat Loss:
Targeting fat or adipose tissue involves preserving lean muscle while reducing excess fat. This is best achieved through a combination of balanced eating, strength training, and cardiovascular exercise.
Inflammation:
Chronic inflammation is a deadly silent sniper. I have seen it hit hard both physically and financially. If the disease doesn’t get you the medical bill will. If unchecked, it can cause obesity, heart disease, and infinite systemic disorders. Reducing inflammation can be achieved through wise eating and lifestyle changes. All of our clients are taught this.
The Formula to Exponential Health:
Here are 3 simple factors we use through an integrative approach to naturally achieve our goals for weight and size concerns that also pertain to all physical ailments.
1. Structure: Physical/Chemical:
Chemical: Your annual checkup and bloodwork are essential. Thyroid function and hormone levels significantly impact bodyweight and energy levels. Monitoring them provides a baseline for improvement.
Physical: Alignment allows us to relieve compression and congestion. Imagine a rubber band around your finger. Once you have Blood, Nerve and Lymph flow to the area, we become radiant.
2. Behavior Patterns:
Healthy Discipline: Getting quality sleep, balanced eating, regular exercise, and the simple addition of lemon water are ways that can affect weight, fat and inflammation.
3. Mental Patterns and Perception:
Chronic stress can exacerbate inflammation and hinder weight loss efforts, particularly by affecting the thyroid.
From my experience, weight loss often has little to do with just food. It’s important for participants to transform their narrative and "raise the thermostat" out of their comfort zone. Otherwise, we unconsciously revert to familiar, less healthy patterns. The most important factors then become HEALTHY DISCIPLINE AND CONSISTENCY.
By understanding the difference between losing weight, losing fat, and managing inflammation, we can adopt these integrative approaches to make amazing changes to our health.
